The next phase for a prominent city development has officially been launched by The Lord Mayor of Chester.
Work is now underway on the next stage of Redrow’s King’s Moat Garden Village in Chester, alongside two existing phases, which make up the development of more than 1,200 new homes on Wrexham Road.
Cllr Sherin Akhtar attended the event to mark the opening of three new show homes, which showcase a selection of new property types, available across all current phases including Emperor Park and Roman Green.
The ribbon cutting was followed by a celebratory weekend of cooking demonstrations from award-winning chef Adie Munt, live music, entertainment and autumnal treats including spiced lattes and waffles.
Kings Moat Garden Village will eventually see up to 1,269 new homes provided by Redrow and Taylor Wimpey, alongside associated amenities including a primary school, commercial centre, play areas and sports pitches.
Guests were able to take a tour around Redrow’s new show homes.
Anna Evans-Kerr, Sales Director at Redrow NW, said:
“Thank you to the Lord Mayor of Chester, Cllr Sherin Akhtar for officially marking this major milestone with us and Adie for putting on a wonderful feast of dishes for visitors to sample throughout the weekend.
“We’d also like to thank everyone who joined us for a very successful weekend, which starts the next chapter for Kings Moat Garden Village. We are very proud of the community we are creating here in Chester.”
King’s Moat Garden Village, located off Wrexham Road, includes a selection of two to five-bedroom properties, all from Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection. Currently, the housebuilder is selling homes on two existing phases: Emperor Park and Roman Green, with homes on the new phase due to go on sale in the new year
Anna added:
“It’s been five years since we last introduced new show homes and property types here. They will showcase a number of larger upcoming property types including the very impressive Highgrove.”
