As the festive season approaches, Member of Parliament for Chester North & Neston, Samantha Dixon has announced the launch of her annual Christmas Card Competition, inviting primary school-aged children across the constituency to showcase their creativity.
This year’s competition is open to all young people attending local schools as well as those being home-educated. Letters have already been sent to schools across Chester North and Neston this month, encouraging children to design and submit their own unique Christmas card creations.
Samantha Dixon said:
“We want to see snowmen, reindeer, elves, glitter explosions - anything that captures the spirit of Christmas through a child’s imagination. Artistic license is absolutely encouraged!”
The winning design will be featured as Samantha’s official Christmas card, which will be sent digitally to hundreds of individuals and organisations throughout the constituency and beyond. Instead of printing physical cards, Samantha will be making a charitable donation, supporting a local charity during the festive season.
The winner will also receive a special award presented by Samantha herself.
Entries can be submitted either digitally by email or via post to Samantha Dixon’s office. The deadline for entries is 14th November.
Samantha added:
“It’s a wonderful way to get creative, spread festive cheer, and support our community. I encourage all local children to get involved and most importantly, have fun! I look forward to seeing their wonderful designs.”
