Residents in West Cheshire have a last chance to help shape Social Welfare and Advice Services to meet the needs of people in the borough.
Cheshire West and Chester Council launched the eight-week Social Welfare and Advice consultation in February to give people chance to share their views on Social Welfare and Advice Services in west Cheshire.
This engagement will close on Wednesday, 17 March.
The Council provides Social Welfare Advice Services across the borough to ensure residents have information, support and advice about benefits, housing matters, debt and money management, employment rights and redundancy, as well as social care related issues.
Councillor Val Armstrong, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, said: “The aim of the consultation is to shape future services to meet the needs of people in the borough. By updating the social welfare and advice services, alongside our partners, we are looking at things like - free telephone advice, one-to-one support in community venues such as libraries, GP surgeries and leisure centres and a greater role for the voluntary sector in providing support.
“We want to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure that the development of new services reflect the feedback and experiences of residents and how they wish to be supported in the future.”
