Chester FC Women have confirmed the appointment of Kalvin Williams as Interim First Team Manager.
Kalvin steps up after enjoying three successful years in charge of the Development Squad and will oversee preparations for the 2024/25 season.
The club will continue to review the role, but with pre-season commencing this month, the interim appointment provides stability during an important period for the team.
Albert Davies, General Manager said:
“Kalvin has a strong track record for results and developing players and we’re really pleased he has accepted this opportunity.
“He understands the club and has worked with a number of the players previously, which will ensure this transitional period is as smooth as possible.
“The playing squad have done fantastically well to push the team forwards on and off the pitch, and I know Kalvin is relishing the chance to build on the positive progress of the past couple of seasons.
“Since the announcement that Martin (Fitzsimons) was departing, we have received several expressions of interest in the role, which we will work through over the coming weeks, but our immediate attention is on ensuring the team is as prepared as possible for the new season.”
