UNESCO World Heritage Site and Visitor Attraction, Jodrell Bank, is proud to unveil a unique series of wedding packages that promise to transport couples and their guests to another world.
Starry-eyed couples can now get married under the stars in our newly inaugurated Space Dome. This breathtaking 144-capacity curved cinema planetarium includes an intergalactic ceremony where you are invited to exchange vows amidst a selection of immersive space-themed backgrounds. Say ‘I do’ under a virtual sky of moons, planets, nebulas and constellations.
Following the celestial union, guests will gather for a cosmic Drinks Reception in the architectural surroundings of the 76-meter diameter First Light Pavilion. This remarkably photogenic and inspirational building, crafted from concrete and steel, pays homage to astronomical archaeological structures like the ancient stone circles, providing an unparalleled setting for post-ceremony celebrations.
Jennifer Holland, Venue Hire Manager at Jodrell Bank, said:
"We are thrilled to offer couples a truly out-of-this-world wedding experience. With our innovative intergalactic ceremony and unparalleled partner reception venues, we aim to make every couple's special day a celestial celebration to remember."
This exciting addition of Space Dome weddings and First Light Pavilion receptions at Jodrell means we join an already highly successful cohort. As part of the University of Manchester’s Cultural Institutions, we are delighted to enter the wedding sphere, alongside our colleagues at Manchester Museum and The Whitworth Art Gallery. Together, we offer couples across the North-West a collection of beautifully unique venues.
