Detectives have launched an investigation following a large fire at a property on the outskirts of Tarvin.
Shortly before 4am on Thursday 5 May emergency services were called to reports of a fire at an address on Cross Lanes.
Police and fire attended the scene and on arrival they discovered a fire in a detached bungalow.
Firefighters have extinguished the fire and it has been confirmed that the property was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
An investigation into the exact cause of the fire remains ongoing, but indications suggest that the property was being used as a cannabis farm.
Two men, aged 33 and 36, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The pair were arrested near Blackpool earlier today and are currently being transported to Cheshire.
Enquiries in relation to the incident remain ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police at:
