The Queen’s School hosted a dynamic Careers Fair at Chester Racecourse recently, offering students insight into diverse industries.
With over 60 stands, the event connected students with top professionals, reinforcing Queen’s commitment to ambitious futures.
Students in Years 10 to 13 at The Queen’s School, Chester, enjoyed an inspiring and action-packed morning at Chester Racecourse, exploring a vast array of careers at our vibrant Careers Fair.
As a Gold Award-winning careers provider, Queen’s is proud to deliver bespoke, tailored experiences — and this event was no exception. Uniquely, the fair was shaped by the girls themselves, who were surveyed in advance to determine the sectors they were most interested in exploring.
From cybersecurity, banking and finance to marketing, PR, and property… From space engineering and humanitarian aid to travel, gap year opportunities, design, and architecture… The range was truly exceptional. Students also connected with professionals in law — including solicitors and a barrister — all three Armed Forces, the performing arts, psychology, and the Wildlife Trust.
Representatives from major local employers such as Unilever and Airbus were also on hand, sharing insights into careers in engineering and management. The healthcare sector was particularly well represented too, with doctors, dentists, vets, nurses, optometrists, pathologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, biomedical scientists, a scenes of crime analyst — and many more specialists offering their time and expertise.
With over 60 stands to explore, the event offered an invaluable chance to discover new career paths, make meaningful connections for work experience, and start shaping the future — because at Queen’s, we believe it’s never too early to dream big.
Mrs Dawson, Head of Careers said:
"The energy in the room this morning was nothing short of electric — a real celebration of ambition, opportunity and inspiration. At Queen’s, we are incredibly proud of the strong emphasis we place on future pathways. Whether our girls are aiming for top universities, medical sciences, the law profession, creative industries, competitive apprenticeships or beyond, we ensure they are fully supported, informed and empowered every step of the way. It was particularly special to see several of our own parents and alumna giving back and representing such a vibrant range of careers. That sense of community, connection and high aspiration is what truly sets Queen’s apart. If you want the very best for your daughter’s future, this is the place to be."
At Queen’s, careers education isn’t an add-on — it’s a promise. A promise to connect our girls with the very best opportunities, guidance and role models to help them shape their futures with confidence.
