Councillor Robert Cernik, Cabinet Member for Children and Families said: “The anxious wait is over - I would like to say congratulations to every young person who collected their exam results yesterday.
“Our students’ achievements are the result of a great deal of hard work and the commitment and skill of all of our fantastic teaching and school staff. This achievement is even more significant given the unprecedented disruption to the education of students due to COVID-19. I also want to acknowledge the vital role parents and carers play in supporting their children.
“We are extremely proud of all that the borough’s schools have achieved.”
