Searches are continuing today to locate 85-year-old George, who is missing from his home in Cheshire.
The last confirmed sighting we have of him on CCTV is at 2.11am on Wednesday, June 26th, walking along the pavement opposite the Texaco fuel station on Holway Road, Holywell. He was walking in the direction of Lloc and Whitford.
Following further enquiries to locate George today, Detective Inspector Chris Owen is now making a direct appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen George in the Flintshire area, or anyone matching his description, to please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.
George is described as white, around 5'7" tall, of medium build, with balding/short grey hair. The CCTV picture of him below shows him in the clothes we believe he is wearing.
Detective Inspector Chris Owen said:
“We have a dedicated team of officers continuing with detailed searches and enquiries.
“I’d like to thank the public for all the help and information they have offered so far in the search for George, whose welfare we are gravely concerned about.
“Whilst my dedicated team are following the trail of known sightings, the assistance from the public in proactively checking cameras will greatly assist us.
“I am specifically asking for any houses or businesses with CCTV cameras in the above mapped area to please check your footage from 2am on Wednesday, June 26th until 2am on Thursday, June 27th. This information will be crucial in driving and focussing our ongoing investigation.
“This community effort will hopefully bring us closer to our goal of locating George and returning him to his family.
“My team continues to liaise with and support George’s family who are fully updated on the search efforts.”
“We also continue to appeal directly to George - please contact us to let us know that you are OK.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact us by calling 101, or via our website, using itrace reference number 47758.”
