Ellesmere Port Library continues its series of events by hosting Fifi la Mer and Oliver Wilby, who will take you on a journey through 100 years of French music, from Offenbach to Gainsbourg.
The show features the dulcet tones of Fifi on accordion and voice, and the talents of Oliver on clarinet, members of the saxophone family, and accordion. Together they will transport you to "the city of lights" with their repertoire of musical gems, and along the way you will get to enjoy tales of mystery, romance and heartache that we so often associate with Paris.
Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Strategic Transport, Councillor Karen Shore said: “This is going to be an amazing event. Fifi La Mer have played at major hotels and restaurants in the UK including The Dorchester, The Manoir Aux Quat Saisons and The Ivy, as well as at music venues including the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and the National Theatre.
“The duo has also played on the Orient Express and on boats including the Belle Vallee on the River Seine, Paris and music festivals such as the London City festival. We are really looking forward to welcoming them to Ellesmere Port Library in October.”
