The Regeneration team at Flintshire County Council have commissioned Save the High Street to run a bespoke business support service for town centre businesses in Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Flint, Holywell, Mold, Queensferry and Shotton.
The Business Support Project, which is part of the wider UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Flintshire Town Centre Investment Programme, has now completed two cohorts of support in our town centres. The project is about to begin the 3rd and final cohort.
Through the project, Save the High Street has already supported over 25 businesses in Flintshire with their individual needs. The service they provide depends on the individual requirements of the businesses. This can be anything from marketing support, increasing footfall through their door or more specialised support addressing how to expand into new markets. The project has been very well received with businesses reporting useful and valuable support, positive impacts on their business and increased confidence in dealing with developing their businesses.
Save the High Street is a national company and has to date supported over 25,000 businesses across the UK.
STHS director Alex Schlagman said:
“Successful high streets benefit everyone. The more of us who join the stronger we all become. By offering support to local businesses through this programme, businesses in Flintshire will be better placed to reimagine and regenerate the town centres, creating mixed use spaces that we feel proud to live, work, shop and play in.”
The project has been able to offer business support free of charge to participants. Cohort 3 is the final opportunity for businesses to receive this support and there are limited spaces remaining.
An in-person information event is being held on Monday September 16, 5pm-6pm at Flint Mountain Park where you will be able to find out more about the programme and what it can mean for your business.
Everyone is welcome so please come along for an informal discussion of how this project can support the development of your town centre business.
