Flint RNLI has received a generous donation thanks to the fundraising efforts of Global1Partners Ltd, a local business based at Ashmount Enterprise Park in Flint.
During July, six members of the Global1Partners team took part in a daring abseil challenge at the National Lift Tower in Northampton. Standing at 127.5m (418ft) tall.
The opportunity originally came about through a Lift Industry Charity Auction, with a prize for two participants. Instead of limiting the experience, Global1Partners turned it into a team challenge, with six colleagues stepping “over the edge” in support of Flint RNLI. This meant two charities benefited from the adventure.
Wayne Kerfoot, Flint Lifeboat Operations Manager, said:
‘We are hugely grateful to the team at Global1Partners for choosing Flint RNLI as the beneficiary of their incredible challenge. Their bravery and generosity will directly support our volunteer crew, helping us to save lives at sea.’
The funds raised will go towards crew training and essential lifesaving equipment for the volunteer lifeboat crew at Flint RNLI.
Flint RNLI lifeboat station was established in 1966.
