A Fan Canopy is to be installed at the Deva Stadium this week, as part of Chester FC's ongoing efforts to enhance the matchday experience for supporters, starting on Saturday against Curzon Ashton.
Working with Mar-Key Structure Solutions, the Fan Canopy will be positioned within an enclosed space outside the north east corner of the stadium, and will feature additional food and drink vendors as well as live entertainment.
This new addition offers a dedicated space where fans can gather before the game for the upcoming fixtures against Curzon and Darlington, before being trialled both before and after the match against Marine on Easter Monday.
Further details will be confirmed in due course regarding food and drink, music and additional vendors.
The club remains committed to creating a permanent Fanzone in the long term and this expanded matchday offering allows us to test both the concept and demand over the remaining home games in 2024/25 as well as the opening months of the 2025/26 campaign.
General Manager Albert Davies said:
“We are really excited to be continuing work on our long-term project of a Permanent Fanzone here at the Deva Stadium.
“In the short term, this for us signals a really important step in the process, enabling us to improve the matchday experience for supporters, and also get a feel for demand.
“The Fan Canopy area will allow the football club to bring in extra revenue, ease pressure on The Cestrian Bar and Kiosks, while also offering some more food and drink variety for supporters.”
