The family of a 23-year-old man who passed away following a collision in Malpas have paid tribute to him.
Jacob Holden, known as Jay, from Malpas, was the driver of a Vauxhall Vivaro van that was involved in a collision at around 9.50pm on Friday 28 October on Wet lane.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
Jay’s family – Mark, Billie and Olivia have paid tribute to him: “Our family have been left truly devastated by the tragic events of last Friday evening.
“Jay for his 23 years touched the hearts of so many lives across all generations. The outpouring of love and affection to our family has shown what a truly special young man he was to so many.
“He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was a caring, gentle, kind soul who made time for everyone. Is inherent goodness is rare to find.
“Jay worked hard and had the most amazing work ethic but he also knew how to enjoy life to the fullest.
“His smile lit up all our lives. Our hearts are simply broken.”
An investigation remains underway and as part of their enquiries, officers are appealing for information in relation to the collision.
