The Blues are aiming to make the First Round of the FA Cup for only the second time since reformation this weekend, visiting Hartlepool United.
Calum McIntyre’s side come into this one in good form – having won four of their last five matches. Last Saturday they battled back from two goals down to win – as academy graduate Reece Daly scored his maiden senior goal in stunning fashion to complete the comeback.
The winners pot for this stage stands at £9,375, with the losers of 4QR ties taking home £3,125.
THE OPPOSITION:
Hartlepool have responded well to relegation out of the EFL last season, and currently occupy the final play-off spot in the National League table, having accumulated 22 points from 15 matches.
They were 3-1 winners at home to Eastleigh last weekend – with both scorers familiar to Blues fans.
Tom Crawford, who is a Chester FC academy graduate, opened the scoring before a second half brace from one time loanee Mani Dieseruvwe sealed victory.
