This week the Neuro Therapy Centre has been given the opportunity to have donations made to the charity doubled for free and are calling on people’s support to help them reach their £20,000 target.
The Big Give Christmas Challenge starts on Giving Tuesday 3rd December, and runs until noon on Tuesday 10th December. Donations of any size made to the Neuro Therapy Centre’s dedicated Big Give webpage will be doubled thanks to £10,000 of match-funding provided by supporters and the Steve Morgan Foundation.
The donations will be used to support the Centre’s physical and emotional therapies which provide a lifeline for people with neurological conditions and their Carers in the region.
Jane Johnston-Cree, CEO at the Neuro Therapy Centre, said:
“Next year we’ll be celebrating our fortieth anniversary and these funds will help us to grow our services for which there is a continued growing demand. We’ve recently opened new facilities at the Centre which has expanded our physiotherapy, gym and exercise space, and next year we will be redeveloping our original building to grow our social space and emotional health facilities. It is such an exciting time for the Centre and we really hope our community will get behind us to help raise these important funds which make such a life-changing difference to people with neurological conditions and their families.”
As part of this exciting week, the charity have organised a Pyjama Day on Thursday 5th December, where businesses and local groups are being invited to wear their PJs all day long and donate £2 per person to celebrate the warmth and friendliness of the Centre’s support.
The Centre supports people with a wide range of long-term neuro-degenerative conditions including MS, Parkinson’s Disease, ME, FND, Ataxia and Fibromyalgia through providing regular physiotherapy, tailored exercise opportunities, counselling and support groups, as well as opportunities for people to meet and share experiences.
Between noon on Tuesday 3rd December and noon on Tuesday 10th December, the Neuro Therapy Centre’s Big Give web page will be live, and there is £10,000 of match-funding available for donations of any size to be doubled for free.
