The Mayor’s chosen charities for the year are The National Waterways Museum, CHAPS and Street Pastors.
Speaking after her inauguration Councillor Denson said: “It is an honour and privilege to be invested as the Mayor of Ellesmere Port and to be able to share this year with my husband Chris.
“We both look forward to our civic year, meeting and supporting the community and businesses of Ellesmere Port. The last year has been a challenge for many different reasons and we hope that we will be able to attend and visit many places and events over the coming year.
“Many thanks to Rev. Gordon McGuinness who put this video together and the children of Westminster Community Primary School who sang.”
The inauguration was filmed due to Covid so that everyone can watch it safely. The video is available on YouTube: https://youtu.be/2E40izQfoAg
