Cheshire West and Chester Council is inviting Lache residents to give their views about new plans for a children’s play area in Sycamore Fields.
This is part of the recommendations in the regeneration plans for the area providing much needed improvements in play for young people.
There is a meeting at the Lache Community Centre on 16 March between 5pm and 6pm or residents can drop in at any time to view the proposals and complete a feedback form. The information is also available at the Lache library and online:

...where there are three questions.
· Do you agree with the proposed layout?
· Which pieces of children’s play equipment would you prefer to see?
· Which (if any) wider improvements would you like to see in the park?
Councillor Richard Beacham, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Growth, Economy & Regeneration said: “I am pleased that we have secured funding to make improvements to the park. It’s really popular and much-loved in the community. We have received lots of feedback on the proposals from local people, which we are listening to carefully.
“The proposals include new play equipment, including accessible play equipment for disabled children, as well as new planting and new seating within the park.
“There is a display and feedback forms in Lache Community Centre if anyone wants to take a look at the plans. The feedback forms are also in Lache Library and online.”
There will be further conversations with Lache residents; young people, their parents and carers and the wider community before the draft final designs are shared with the community for feedback in May before going out to tender. The aim is to have the full works completed by Easter 2024 ready for play over the spring and summer.
