A message from Chester MP Chris Matheson.
Her Majesty the Queen led a life of service, decency and dignity. She was a rock of dependability, reliability and certainty throughout the changing decades. During her remarkable 70 years of public duty, she touched the hearts of people across the UK and the world. Her legacy and the values that she embodied will live on. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the Royal Family for their personal loss.
For people who would like to pay their respects, Cheshire West and Chester Council have made arrangements for people to start laying flowers by the flagpole in front of the Town Hall in a fitting tribute. More arrangements will be made in the coming days to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Queen Elizabeth II. May she rest in peace.
