Chester Repair Cafe is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday 18th October.
Chester Repair Cafe is celebrating its first birthday on Saturday 18th October with a special event at the Hoole Community Centre, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The event coincides with International Repair Day, and the cafe invites visitors to bring items to be repaired by volunteer experts.
It's a community-run initiative that helps reduce waste by repairing broken household items for free, giving them a new lease on life.
What to bring: One broken item at a time, such as clothing, small electricals, or tools.
You may need to purchase parts and bring them back for future sessions.
In the midst of a climate crisis, and the cost of living crisis, the Repair Cafe is more vital than ever as they can help save people money while saving their belongings from landfill.
