Having left the starting stalls, 2024 is firmly underway and there are plenty of exciting race days to plan for on the approach to Chester's season starting in May!

From racing to music, food to fashion, there’s something for everyone across all 15 fixtures, with tickets and hospitality on sale now.

Boodles May Festival - Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th May 2024

The start of an exciting new racing season at Chester kicks off with the iconic Boodles May Festival, where fashion meets the finishing line. This prestigious three-day event attracts some of the best in racing and features the running of the historic Chester Cup on the Friday.

Roman Day - Saturday 25th May 2024

Take a race through history at Chester’s ever-popular Roman Day fixture, celebrating the city's historic roots. Immerse yourself in all the educational and fun activities for families alongside the day's thrilling racing. 

The Friday Social - Friday 14th June 2024

Start your weekend early at The Friday Social, providing a relaxed setting to socialise with friends, family and colleagues at the world's oldest racecourse. An opportunity to catch up, have fun and watch all the racing action at this Friday afternoon fixture.  

Summer Saturdays - Saturday 15th and 29th June, 27 July 2024

Glorious Summer Saturdays at Chester Racecourse bring out the very best in a day at the races. There’s the Edinburgh Gin sponsored Summer Saturday on 15 June, the Matthew Clark sponsored Summer Style Race Day on 29 June and a Midsummer Meeting on the agenda in late July.

Ibiza Classics Evening & Soul Sunset Racing - Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July 2024

Move to the rhythm of racing and summer beats at Chester’s Summer Music Weekend, featuring an Ibiza Classics Evening on the Friday and Soul Sunset Racing on the Saturday. Get into the groove for two fabulous occasions, with racing on the Saturday starting from 4pm.  

Family Fun Day - Sunday 4th August 2024

Racing and smiles run side by side at Family Fun Day, Chester’s second family-focused fixture of 2024. The Open Course is transformed into a hive of activity for children, with fun games and inflatables adding to the excitement of a day at the races.

Ladies Day - Saturday 31st August 2024

Elegance is in full stride for the Powells Jewellery sponsored Ladies Day, allowing you to up the fashion stakes for your chance to win prizes in Chester’s renowned Best Dressed competition. There’s also a celebrity DJ set to round off a stunning day of racing with music.  

The Autumn Racing Food & Drink Festival - Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September 2024

Autumn Racing and Culinary Delights take centre stage for the Autumn Racing Food & Drink Festival in mid-September. Experience the excitement of the races between perusing the local vendors for tasty treats and brews.

Oktoberfest Season Finale - Saturday 21st September 2024

From Bavarian beer to bratwurst, raise a stein to the season when Oktoberfest returns for Chester’s final race fixture of 2024. Immerse yourself in this celebration of Bavarian culture, featuring Oompah bands, accordion players and dancers in the Bavarian Village.
