With less than ten days to go until Christmas Day, Chester Pride is once again offering its remaining spaces for its annual Christmas Day buffet meal, to anyone facing Christmas Day alone.
Now in its fifth year, the annual Christmas Day meal has been generously funded, not only by public donations but also from Chester Blue Coat Charity and Chester Pride’s long term partner M&S Bank. The combined generosity means that up to 30 guests will enjoy a Christmas Day buffet meal, with all the trimmings, in a safe & warm environment, complete with a small gift and transport provided for those who would otherwise be unable to make it to the event.
Warren Lee Allmark, Chester Pride Chair, said:
"Year on year, the support we receive for this annual event from the wider community is very much appreciated and means that we can help those facing Christmas Day alone. Each year we have welcomed people from all backgrounds to come together, celebrate Christmas Day and enjoy the warm welcome that our Chester Pride volunteers provide. Should you or someone you know be facing Christmas Day alone, please get in contact with us to book your free place. Our buffet caters for all dietary requirements and preferences and also comes with a 0% waste policy as any food left over is distributed through a network of charities and organisations in the city helping our homeless.’
