Chester Football Club can confirm the first team has recorded a number of positive tests for COVID-19.
Following guidance from the National League medical team, and in line with league and club protocols, our backroom staff and players will all now be required to self-isolate.
As a result of this, tomorrow’s trip to York City is postponed.
It is anticipated that the period of self-isolation will be 14 days, and if so, home games against Guiseley and Hereford – as well as a trip to Farsley Celtic – will all be postponed as well.
New dates will be arranged and announced in due course for these fixtures.
Anyone that had already purchased a streaming pass for the game tomorrow and would like a refund should email mediaofficer@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk.
