Children’s charity and voluntary adoption agency, Adoption Matters is delighted to be chosen as a recipient of a £500 grant from The Chester Bluecoat Charity.
The Chester Bluecoat Charity works to change the lives of people in need throughout the city and the surrounding area and awards grants to organisations that use education and community development to improve people's lives.
As Adoption Matters' head office is based in Chester, as are their roots dating back 76 years, the charity is honoured to be recognised by an organisation that mirrors their own ethos in striving to improve the lives of others.
Adoption Matters Fundraising and Relationship Manager, Annie O’Neill, commented:
“We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this grant which will help fund our children’s choir, which we plan to re-ginite in 2024.
“The funds will be invaluable to provide a community space for children to come together in a safe environment, learn to sing and record songs whilst also providing a chance for our adoptive parents to meet up and chat with other parents.”
The Adoption Matters Centre for Adoption Support Choir runs once a month and is free of charge for all Adoption Matters approved adopters.
