Goals from Cal Dicks, Dan Christian, Adam Pownall and Rob Austin proved decisive for Newton who are now six points clear at the summit, Whitegate's consolation came from Kyle Maddock.
Blacon Reserves and Cestrian Alex looked all set for a 0-0 stalemate until Ellis Moore popped up with a last-minute winner to take all three points for Blacon who now move to third, meanwhile Handbridge also scored a last-minute winner in their 1-0 victory over Upton Reserves thanks to a debut goal from Jack Goodrich.
Chester Nomads thirds secured a comfortable 3-0 victory at bottom placed Hoole Rangers to put some day light between themselves and the bottom two.

Elton had Harry Eardley, Callum Widowson and Adam Hall all on target against Clarence who matched Elton’s tally with three of their own thanks to strikes from Oscar Sergant, Jamie Payne and Billy Beasley to see the game end 3-3, meanwhile Great Sutton Reserves and Sutton United Reserves played out a 1-1 stalemate with Alex Rabansu netting for Great Sutton and Alex Morgan scoring for Sutton.
FC Farndon have a massive six games in hand on leaders Kelma but must win every one to have any chance of taking the title, On Saturday they got the charge off to a great start thanks to a commanding 6-0 victory over Poulton Vics, Andrew Walker led the way with a brace while Sam Davenport, Leo Davenport, David Mitchell and Oliver Brown all got in on the act.
Life Members Cup holders Mersey Royal Vets had Dava Bowe on target in a narrow 1-0 victory over Chester Nomads Vets to progress to the semi-final for the third year running and will now meet Higher Bebington Kelma Vets for a place in the final.
In the only other game Davenham Vets secured a close 1-0 victory away at Nags Head Bunbury Vets in the Tom Geraghty Cup.
