A Cheshire-based cat has been nominated to be named the most caring cat in the UK.
Emily Hatton, 24, has suffered with emotionally unstable personality disorder which comes with episodes of severe depression and anxiety over the past eight years and has attempted to take her own life.
But September 2017 saw a major turning point, the introduction of a kitten named Arthur.
Emily has now lived independently for the longest period of her live, thanks to this loving feline.
She said: "For the last 10 years of my life I've struggled with self harm and suicide attempts, just not being able to live a functioning life."
"He's always there for me, I don't feel alone with him around. He's always there when I get in waiting at the door for me."
"Arthur has helped me cope with my condition because he has allowed me to live a life in the community and he's somebody that is there for more on my bad days, he's a reason to get out of bed in the morning."
