Chester’s vibrant past comes to life this summer as Samantha Dixon MP hosts a guided walking tour through the city’s historic streets on Saturday 5th July at 2:00 PM.
The event is in support of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Whether you're a lifelong resident or a curious visitor, this special event offers a chance to see Chester from a new perspective while raising vital funds for a much-loved local charity.
Led by Samantha Dixon and the knowledgeable Isabel from Chester’s Visitor Information Centre, the walk will take in some of the city's most iconic sites, uncovering the stories and people that shaped Chester over the centuries.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides compassionate, high-quality end of life care for patients and families across Cheshire West and Chester.
Samantha Dixon MP said:
“I’m so proud to support the hospice with this event.
“It’s a great way to celebrate our wonderful city and bring people together for a cause that touches so many lives in our community. Events like this not only raise vital funds but also raise awareness about the incredible work hospices do every day.
“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Visitor Information Centre team for their collaboration and support in helping to organise the tour. Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in putting this together. No doubt this will be a fantastic event, and I encourage everyone to take part and show their support,”
Suggested donation on the day is £10 (or more) — with every penny going directly to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
