Chester FC Women made it three straight wins with another five goal thriller at the Deva Stadium on Sunday.
The Blues raced into a two goal lead midway through the half, as first Chloe Davis intercepted a poor backpass and found the net, before moments later Erin Parr fired home to make it goals in back-to-back games for the winger.
Davis almost made it three on 27 minutes when she was played through one-on-one, but the Mossley Hill keeper stood up well to make the save.
The visitors got back into it before the break with a clever finish from distance over the backpedalling Sophie Foster.
In the pouring rain, Chester really should have extended their advantage before half time, as Davis and then Ciara Lee both struck the crossbar a matter of minutes prior to the whistle.
Charlotte Dowell did get the third after the break though, her whipped cross-shot flew over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
The Blues continued to press, as sub Lowri Bower was denied, and an Ellie Bradley corner somehow struck the crossbar twice – before out of nowhere the away team got back into it with another brilliant strike from distance.
Bradley was sent off for the Seals late on for two quickfire bookable offences, but Kalvin Williams’ team held on for all three valuable points.
