Chester FC Women advanced in the Cheshire Cup yesterday, with a convincing win over Frodsham.
The Seals started bright, and hit the woodwork twice in the opening ten minutes, as first Ash Bullock saw her attempt tipped onto the crossbar, before debutant Amelia Lewis also hit the bar from a tight angle.
Bullock though did get the Blues up and running after a quarter of an hour, curling home brilliantly from 25 yards out.
Chester continued to press and went close through Lily Tankard, Lucy Adderley and Lowri Bower, before Bullock made it a brace before the break – beating the ‘keeper to the ball and firing in.
Ciara Lee made it three immediately after the interval, scoring from close range, her fourth goal in five matches.
But Lucy Adderley then went back clear at the top of the club scoring charts with her fifth of the campaign on 76 minutes, nodding in from a corner.
The final goal of the afternoon was added just moments later, as Chenai Lefebvre bagged herself a goal a matter of seconds after coming off the bench on a convincing afternoon for Kalvin Williams’ side.
Next up for the Blues is a trip to Pilkington in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
