Chester FC Women advanced into the Second Qualifying Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, with a convincing win at Buxton yesterday.
Lucy Adderley gave the Blues the lead with a super free kick after a quarter of an hour, before the hosts levelled just five minutes later. However, Kalvin Williams’ side retook the lead moments after courtesy of a Ciara Lee header – her third goal in as many matches.
Chester then dominated and were 4-1 up by half time. Chenai Lefebvre got her first of the campaign just moments after coming off the bench in place of the injured Emily Jones – before Erin Parr extended the advantage on 40 minutes with a superb strike from outside the box.
Four became five on 70 minutes as Rach Lloyd got on the scoresheet, before Adderley made it a brace for herself late on. Buxton pulled one back in stoppage time but that couldn’t take the shine off a hugely impressive performance on the road from the young Seals.
The Blues will now travel to Pilkington FC on Sunday 22nd September in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round, kick off is 2pm at Ruskin Drive.
