Catholic High School Chester is inviting prospective AS and A-Level students, along with their parents and guardians, to their upcoming Sixth Form Open Evening.
Catholic High School Chester is delighted to invite prospective AS and A-Level students, along with their parents and guardians, to our upcoming Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday, November 9th, from 6pm to 8pm. This exciting event will take place in our state-of-the-art Emmaus Building, a dedicated two-story multi-functional facility that provides an ideal environment for academic excellence and personal growth.
The recent record-breaking success of our Open Evening last month, which saw over 500 enthusiastic visitors exploring our Handbridge-based school, has inspired us to once again open our doors, this time to those considering the possibilities of our Sixth Form.
Mrs. Bernadette Letissier, the Director of Sixth Form at Catholic High School Chester, expressed her excitement about the event:
“We are extremely proud of our Sixth Form and this is a chance for Year 10 and 11 students to come and see it for themselves – speak to our students, see our fantastic modern facilities, and learn more about why our results are so high."
At Catholic High School Chester, we take great pride in our educational achievements. An impressive 73% of our Sixth Form students secured places in their first-choice universities, with almost a quarter of them gaining admission to prestigious Russell Group universities.
Our Sixth Form offers a diverse range of 23 A-Level subjects and vocational diplomas to cater to each student's unique interests and aspirations. We provide dedicated one-to-one support for UCAS applications and post-18 choices, as well as an extensive selection of co-curricular activities, including educational trips both in the UK and abroad, various clubs and sports, and meaningful charity initiatives. This holistic approach ensures that our students are well-prepared for the exciting journey beyond high school.
Mrs Letissier emphasised that the Sixth Form Open Evening is the best way for prospective students and their families to gather all the necessary information and gain valuable insights into the Catholic High School Chester experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with our current students and dedicated staff members, who will be on hand to answer questions about courses and school life and share their experiences.
Cathy McKeaney, Headteacher at Catholic High School Chester, added:
“Like our main school, our Sixth Form is open to everyone, regardless of their faith or background. We look forward to meeting with you and showing you why our Sixth Form is such a great place to be."
