Chester FC are delighted to announce that Calum McIntyre has been named Vanarama National League North Manager of the Month for October 2023!
The Blues boss was selected for the award after seeing his side win all five of their matches in the month in all competitions.
Chester defeated higher league opposition in the FA Cup in Hartlepool United, secured an impressive 2-0 league win over much-fancied Scunthorpe United, and also defeated Peterborough Sports, Southport and Curzon Ashton in the league too.
After having the best defensive record last season, the Seals were solid at the back once again in October, notching four clean sheets in those five games.
This is the third time McIntyre has been recognised by the league; after winning Manager of the Month for November 2022 and also National League North Manager of the Season for 2022/23.
Speaking after claiming the award, Calum said:
“I am really pleased that the team’s terrific set of results during October have been recognised.
“To have won every single one of our fixtures across the league and the cup takes a huge effort and our players deserve real recognition.
