Chester FC are delighted to confirm that Josh Askew has put pen to paper on a new contract that runs until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old full-back signed an initial short-term deal with the Blues in August 2021 and has been an impressive ever-present since his return to the club.
Askew has featured on nine occasions in all competitions this term, which includes seven starts. He was named Man of the Match in our dramatic 3-2 victory over Alfreton Town earlier this month.
Speaking to ChesterFC.com, Josh said: “I’m over the moon to have secured a contract until the end of the season.
“I feel I’ve come in and kept my head down, done what the Gaffers have asked of me and it’s paid off and worked out for the best.
“This is just the start and now it’s time to use this and kick on even more!
“It’ll be nice to maybe grab a goal soon too, I’m delighted to be staying and in a real special squad full of unbelievable talent.”
