Chester FC Women rounded off their away season with victory in an 11-goal thriller against MSB Woolton on Sunday.
The Blues took the lead in the opening minute courtesy of Cindy Tweedle, before captain Emma Gray doubled the advantage on eight minutes.
MSB Woolton pulled one back from the penalty spot moments later, before Gray restored the two-goal advantage to make it 3-1 after 20 minutes.
Kalvin Williams’ side were rampant in the opening 45, as an own goal from a Tweedle corner and an Erin Parr finish put the Seals 5-1 up at the break.
Woolton though staged a fightback early in the second half, and it was 5-4 by the time the hour mark was reached.
Nevertheless, the Blues saw out victory with a further two goals, as Gray completed her hat-trick from the spot to make it 16 for the campaign – and Chloe Davis bagged the seventh late on.
Just three games remain, all at home, starting on Easter Sunday against Wigan at the KGV Sports Hub – entry is free for all for this match – come on down and support the Blues!
