A sixth and final successive away game takes the Blues to Rushall Olympic this midweek.
Chester FC returned from the North East with a statement three points at previously undefeated South Shields. Liam Edwards scored his first goal for the club, ending the Mariners’ 10 game clean sheet streak at the 1st Cloud Arena.
It was a big result for Calum McIntyre’s side, who have games in hand on those above and can make inroads towards the top seven with one of those matches this midweek ahead of a run of home fixtures.
THE OPPOSITION:
Like Saturday’s opponents, Rushall are newly promoted to the division. The Pics sit just above the drop zone with 23 points from their first 20 matches. They’re one point above King’s Lynn and this is their game in hand on the Linnets.
Liam McDonald’s side though do have the threat of the National League North’s top scorer in Danny Waldron. The forward has 13 goals in 18 games, but has missed recent games due to injury. However, he could be in line for a return this Tuesday.
