Chester FC play their final away game of the regular season this weekend, with a trip to Kettering Town.
For Calum McIntyre’s men, it is about momentum ahead of their extended season, as last Saturday’s draw with Farsley Celtic ensured the Seals will finish in third and have a guaranteed home Play-Off Semi Final at the Deva on Sunday 7th May.
It will also be an opportunity to finish with a flourish on the road. The Blues have the best away record in the division with just one defeat all season, and will want to extend that to unbeaten run on their travels to 21 matches at Latimer Park.
Kettering come into this one knowing a positive result could ensure their safety this weekend with one game to spare. They’ve conceded four goals in back-to-back away games at King’s Lynn and Spennymoor, but their home record is much stronger.
The Poppies won 3-0 in their last home game against Kettering, have lost just three times at Latimer Park all season, and are now 11 unbeaten on their own patch.
Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.
