Chester residents will have the opportunity to become a ‘VIP for the Day’, at the official launch of MONOPOLY: Chester Edition later this year.
That’s Very Important Player: MONOPOLY player!
The winner will get to play – and keep – the very first MONOPOLY: Chester Edition game to roll off the presses, which will be signed by the great and good of the city being featured on the unique official board.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the city is to ‘Pass GO’. More than 30 leading landmarks from Chester will be featured on the board, replacing the likes of Mayfair and Park Lane from the classic MONOPOLY original.
The VIP winner will be gifted a signed game at the launch – as well as be presented as the star guest at the launch and meet Mr. Monopoly, who is coming to Cheshire from London, specifically for the ‘Big Reveal’. The launch event will take place at a top Chester landmark that features in the game.
The public can enter the VIP competition by writing an entry responding to ‘Why I Love Chester’ in 25 words or less. Entries can also be submitted via visual formats. Poems, ditties, and even one-liners will all be judged equally.
“The most inventive and creative entry will win,” says Yasmin East, Custom Games Executive at Winning Moves UK.
Over the last 25 years, Winning Moves UK has produced select official versions of MONOPOLY based locations across the world, from Palm Springs to Phuket and Dubai to Dublin.
To have a chance of winning, entries are open from 9.30am today until 23.59pm on 30th September 2024.
Entries can be sent to:
