A 40-year-old man from Barnet has been charged with a series of offences following a vehicle stop in Chester.
Theophilous Madekurozwa, of Brookhill Road, New Barnet, was pulled over by officers on Nicholas Street Mews at around 3.20pm on Tuesday 2 April and arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
He has subsequently been charged with the offence as well as six counts of fraud by false representation and three counts of theft.
Madekurozwa has also been charged with possessing criminal property and possessing an article for use in fraud.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court in answer to the 12 charges today, Thursday 4 April.
