Detectives investigating an assault in Chester are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
ARREST UPDATE:
Officers have arrested two Chester men in-connection with an assault on Kingsway.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit assault and a 24-year-old has been arrested for conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
They remain in custody for questioning.
ORIGINAL STORY:
At 4pm on Tuesday 9 April an 17-year-old local man was assaulted outside a convenience store on Kingsway involving around three or four young men.
The victim went to hospital with serious but not threatening injuries to his back and neck.
Detective Constable Nicola Edgell, of Chester CID, said: “This was a nasty assault which took place in broad daylight when the area was busy with people passing by.
“I want to take this opportunity to urge anyone who may have seen an altercation take place involving a group of men to come forward. If you have any information – no matter how small please get in touch as it could help us with our investigation.”
