Officers have released CCTV images of a man they are looking to speak to after an elderly woman had her purse stolen in Chester.
Shortly after 10am on Wednesday 18 September an 88-year-woman was shopping at Aldi on Tarvin Road when an unknown man stole her purse from her handbag containing approximately £400 along with a number of bank cards.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are urging anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images, or has information regarding his identity or whereabouts, to come forward.
Police Constable Emma Donaldson, of Chester Local Policing Unit, said: “To stoop so low as to steal from an elderly woman is shameful and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the man responsible.
“As part of our enquiries we want to identify and speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may be able to assist with our enquiries.
