Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Chester are appealing for any witnesses or those with footage to come forward.
At 8.16am on Monday 11 December, police were called to reports of a collision on Cherry Grove Road, Chester.
The collision involved a pedal cyclist and a silver Mercedes Sprinter van and occurred close to the junction with Tarvin Road.
A 56-year-old woman was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Inspector Steve Griffiths said:
“As part of our enquiries, we are now urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident to get in touch.
“It occurred at a busy time of day when people will have been travelling to work so we are also asking those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to make contact with us.
“I am especially interested in speaking to a man who stopped to help and spoke to the driver of the sprinter van but left prior to police arrival. It is possible he may have witnessed the incident and may hold significant information that will help the investigation."
