Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fail to stop collision in Ellesmere Port.
At 2.34pm on Monday 14 August, police were called to reports of a collision on top of junction 7 on the M53 southbound (towards Chester).
The collision involved two vehicles, a blue Jaguar, and a black Vauxhall Corsa, causing substantial damage to both vehicles.
Following the incident, the driver and a passenger got out of the Jaguar and got into a second black Vauxhall Corsa which had stopped at the scene. The car then drove off towards junction 8 of the M53 southbound.
Thankfully the driver who remained at the scene did not sustain any serious injuries, however the outcome could have been far worse, and officers are committed to doing all they can to establish exactly what took place.
As part of their investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with any dashcam footage of the incident.
Anyone with any information or video footage in relation to the incident is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1602635.
