Officers are appealing for information and footage following a serious collision on the M56.
At around 6.55am on Monday 30 January officers were called to the M56 at junction 9 eastbound at Lymm following reports of a collision involving a white Mercedes A Class, a white Mercedes Flat bed van and a blue McLaren 720S.
The driver of the white Mercedes A Class, a 48-year-old man from Runcorn, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time, his condition is described as life-threatening.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Police Constable Orren Williams said: “We have been following a number of enquiries to establish what took place following the collision and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“This stretch of carriageway would have been extremely busy at this time and I know that there would have been a lot of people making their commutes to work.
“As such I would ask anyone who may have seen the vehicles involved before the collision or perhaps witnessed the collision to get in touch.
“The same goes to anyone who may have information or may have dashcam footage that they believe could assist us in piecing together what happened.”
