Detectives investigating a knife-point robbery in Ellesmere Port are appealing for witnesses and information.
Sometime between 12.05am and 12.10am on Monday 18th August, a 17-year-old boy was walking home from the Overpool train station in Ellesmere Port.
On his journey home, he used an alleyway connecting the Overpool Road and Marlbury Garden and, whilst walking, he noticed two unknown individuals on an electric Sur-Ron style bike.
He was approached by these unknown individuals on Pooltown Road, with the pillion on the bike then dismounting and threatening him with a knife and demanded he hand over his mobile phone.
The boy obliged and the pair then rode off, turning left on to Princess Road and then headed in the general direction of Overpool Road.
The suspects were described as young men, who were dressed in all black and were wearing face coverings.
As part of enquiries into what happened, officers are now appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch with them.
Detective Constable Sean Harris, of Ellesmere Port CID, said:
“We understand the concern incidents of this nature cause the local community and we are conducting enquiries to establish exactly what took place and trace anyone responsible.
“I’d urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information in relation to it, to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who lives in the area and has access to CCTV cameras, dashcams or Ring doorbells that may have picked up the incident.”
