Appeal for information following fatal collision near Chester

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a motorcyclist died following a collision near Chester.

Shortly after 4pm on Saturday 12th July, police were called to reports of a collision on the A51 Tarvin Road, Littleton.

Officers attended the scene and found the collision involved one vehicle, a silver Triumph Rocket 3 motorbike, which was travelling towards Chester.

Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle, a 69-year-old man from Liscard, Wirral, sustained fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers.

Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant Russ Sime, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:

“We are in the early stages of our investigation and enquiries are very much ongoing. As part of our investigation we're keen to hear for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorcycle prior to the incident.

“The same goes for anyone with any video footage of which may aid the investigation.”
