Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a burglary and an attempted burglary in Tarvin.
Earlier today, Tuesday 16th September, police were called to reports of two incidents on the Townfield Lane and Crossfield area of the village.
During the incidents, which are believed to have occurred between 1.30am and 2am, unknown offenders gained entry into at least one address and stole a red Citroen C3 from outside the property.
Enquiries in relation to the incidents are in the early stages and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid their investigation.
Detective Sergeant Roy Wellings, of Chester CID, said:
“Burglary is a horrific offence, and we would like to reassure residents in the area that we are doing all we can to trace those responsible.
“As part of our investigation, we would urge anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to get in touch. The same goes for anyone with any CCTV, video doorbell or dashcam footage which may aid our investigation.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the stolen car, a red Citroen C3 registration starting NG21, since the burglary.
“In addition, we’re also looking to trace the owner of a gold iPad which has been found near the scene, and we believe may have been stolen from another nearby address.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police via:
