Detectives investigating a serious assault in Chester city centre are appealing for information from members of the public.
Two men were involved in the assault which occurred at 2.45am on Thursday 7 July on Foregate Street.
One man sustained an injury to his neck and was taken to Aintree Hospital where he has since been discharged.
The other man, aged 34, received an injury to his arm.
He has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Paul Davis, of Chester local policing unit, said: “Our enquiries in relation to the assault are continuing and we’re appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time it occurred or have information to get in touch.
“I am particularly keen to speak to a woman and a man who were seen near to where the assault took place and witnessed it happen.
“Please contact us as soon as possible as any information you have may be useful to our investigation.”
