Police are investigating a collision on the M53 motorway in Ellesmere Port are appealing for information and witnesses.
At around 7.23pm on Friday 28 November, officers in Ellesmere Port were called to reports of a collision that occurred between junctions seven and eight of the M53 motorway northbound.
Officers attended the scene and found the collision involved a black BMW X5 that had overturned after colliding with a safety barrier that ran along the carriageway.
Luckily, no one was injured during the incident.
As part of their enquiries into establishing the circumstances that led to the incident, officers are asking anyone who has any relevant information or video footage to get in touch.
Police Constable Rowan Burt, of the Roads and Crime Unit, said:
“It is very lucky that no one was injured following this incident, however a significant number of journeys were considerably disrupted as a result of the crash and the subsequent emergency response.
“As part of our investigation into fully understanding how this incident occurred, we are asking any motorists who witnessed the collision, or has as any dashcam footage that captured it, to please come forward.”
