People in Cheshire are being urged to put their best foot forward and unite against dementia at Alzheimer’s Society’s Cheshire Memory Walk.
Hundreds of fundraisers will don their walking boots at Tatton Park on Saturday 24 September alongside friends, family and colleagues to support the 31,957 people living with dementia in Cheshire and Merseyside.
Memory Walk will bring together people who have been personally affected by dementia, those who want to walk to remember a loved one, and people looking to raise money for charity at Tatton Park.
Alzheimer’s Society is calling walkers of all ages and abilities to go the distance with both a choice of 2.5km and 8.5km route to help the charity provide a lifeline for as many people affected by dementia as possible.
By signing up to the family-friendly walk, fundraisers will support people affected by dementia through some of the hardest and most frightening times, to improve their lives and help to avoid crisis.
Supporters can also opt to walk on their own, or with loved ones, on the paths, pavements, parks or pebbles in a location of their choosing throughout September.
