An extraordinary wartime story comes to the stage at Hoole Community Centre.
Written and performed by award-winning actor Nicholas Collett, Mettle explores his father’s experiences serving on the Atlantic convoys during the Second World War, and the memories he kept private for years.
Through stories of dangerous seas, U-boat attacks and family life, Nicholas brings together the man he knew with the wartime experiences that shaped him.
Incredibly moving, this solo play explores love, loss and the relationship between a father and son. It offers an evening for anyone interested in history, family stories and live theatre.
